THE ARTIST • BRIAN BROADWAY
Brian Broadway (born 16 July 1968) is an internationally renowned and award winning fine artist. Broadway is best known for his pop culture, realism, and monochrome portrait works, but has also become accomplished in abstract works as well. His art follows the examples of Picasso and Gerhard Richter in undermining the concept that an artist must specialize in one specific genre. Broadway is regarded as one of America’s most sought after artists, and his works now reside in the private collections of several well known actors, professional athletes and musicians. Broadway is preparing artwork for a 2017 exhibition celebrating the 100th birthday of legendary jazz pianist, Thelonious Monk, at the prestigious Wilbur Jennings Gallery/Kenekebela House in Manhattan. He sold out his first NYC show in 2012. Currently, the artist is exhibiting his works in museums and galleries throughout the U.S. and Europe.
